On April 13, the First International Designers’ Fashion Show themed on “Fashion and Colors on Silk Road” was held in Shanghai Textile and Apparel Museum. Wedding dresses designed by Zhao Yuqin, a teacher of JSOU, was selected in the exhibition.
Combining the features of modern and traditional costumes, the wedding dresses designed by Zhao are in red and yellow which traditionally symbolize wealth and fortune, and made of silk and embroidery with a western-style clipping, which adds the sexy and plump appeal to eastern women’s beauty of connotation. Zhao’s design was highly evaluated by the judges and experts, and demonstrated the research and development ability and design ability of JSOU teachers.
The exhibition was co-hosted by Shanghai Textile and Apparel Museum, International Culture Communication College of Donghua University and Shanghai Apparel Association. More than 100 design works from more than 30 universities and institutes were on exhibition.
